  1. Dress properly

Your dressing is the first thing your colleagues will notice about you. Dress up to make a good impression and ensure you are meeting the company’s dress code, if there is one. You can dress corporate on the first day, then observe the how others are dressed. Then, you can adjust your clothing choices on later days.

On your first day at work, you should leave at least 15 minutes earlier than you normally would to get there. Show appreciation to your supervisor and coworkers by thanking them and let them know that you enjoyed your first day.
